Education Services and Professional Development

The role of the Educational Services Committee is to promote and coordinate all Professional Development activities within the Bargaining Unit and to administer the Professional Development Plan in accordance with the collective agreement and the bylaws.

The committee members for 2009 - 2010 are:

The Ed. Services Committee (ESC) meets monthly, usually on the second Tuesday of the month, to consider applications for PD funding. The applications must be received prior to the date of the activity to be considered. Forms can be obtained from your school rep. or are attached to a posting on the OSSTF Teachers/PSSP conference on First Class.

Application forms must be filled out, signed by the principal and faxed, along with and details of the event to:

The limit is $400 per person per year until the money runs out. Details of forms and allowable expenses can be found in the ‘OSSTF - Teachers/PSSP' conference on First Class or from your school Ed. Services rep.
